Associated Students
Associated Students of San Diego State University is an independent student directed corporation that provides a wide range of services and programs for San Diego State University students, faculty, staff, and alumni - and the general public, from student leadership and child care services, to recreation programs and concerts.
Athletics
San Diego State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics Team is to provide student - athletes the finest educational and athletic experience. They develop the leaders of tomorrow by instilling core values and work ethics that inspires a passion for success in the classroom, on the field of competition, in the community, and in all future endeavors.
Campus Safety and Security
Your campus police department works hard to ensure that everyone in the SDSU community is aware of safety issues that may affect them. The Campus Safety Act, also known as the Jeanne Clery Act, requires universities to report annual crime statistics, provide timely warnings of serious crimes when there may be a threat to others, and to keep a public log of campus incidents.
Fraternity and Sorority Life
Fraternal organizations have been a core component of the campus community since 1899. Currently there are over 50 social fraternities and sororities, including both general and culturally based organizations, represented by four governing councils.

University Honors Programs
The University Honors Program (UHP) offers well-qualified students an opportunity to enhance their undergraduate years at San Diego State University . This Program serves students from all majors who wish to develop and challenge their academic potential by taking special sections of General Education classes. These small classes emphasize rigorous, collegial examinations of course materials and provide individuals the opportunity to be among intellectual peers from various backgrounds and disciplines.
Study Abroad
SDSU offers over 190 study abroad programs in 44 different countries. Last year more than 900 students experienced the excitement, challenges and rewards of studying in another country. By choosing one of these sponsored programs, students receive resident credits, pay comparable fees to SDSU, and are able to use their financial aid while abroad. Summer Reading Programs
The Summer Reading Program allows the entire campus community to share in the orientation of its newest members.
