Financial Statement Form
The SDSU Financial Statement Form is available for printout below. Complete, sign and return the form, along with documentation (bank statement) supporting your resources. The form must show that you have the minimum funds available for one academic year. It is not required that you submit the form at the same time as the application; however, it is recommended in order to expedite processing. You cannot be officially admitted until this document is approved. Send Financial Statement Form to:

Academic Scholarship
Scholarship recipients will be chosen based on their academic qualifications and recommendation letters. Strong students are encouraged to apply.
Academic Scholarship Application
Scholarship value: $1000
Eligibility requirements:
1. Hold a valid non-immigrant visa (F-1),
2. Have submitted an admission application, and
3. Be eligible for admission to SDSU as a freshman
Filing period: October 1st - March 1st
Goodwill Scholarship
Scholarship recipients will be chosen based on the quality of their International Goodwill Project proposal and recommendation letters. Students should propose a project that will increase international goodwill on the SDSU campus. Scholarship recipients will be expected to follow-through with their project therefore it is highly recommended that students research the feasibility of the project. Original ideas are encouraged.
Goodwill Scholarship Application

Eligibility requirements:
1. Hold a valid non-immigrant visa (F-1),
2. Have submitted an admission application, and
3. Be eligible for admission to SDSU as a transfer student
Filing period: October 1st - March 1st
Intercultural Ambassador's Program
This annual scholarship program, a collaborative effort of the SDSU International Student Center and the International Studies Education Project of San Diego (ISTEP), is a combined student leadership development/community outreach initiative designed to promote greater intercultural awareness and international goodwill in the San Diego public schools. Scholarship value: approximately $750 in tuition waivers
Eligibility requirements:
1. Be a full time undergraduate student during Spring Semester 2007, and
2. Hold a valid non-immigrant visa (F-1), and
3. Have been a full time SDSU student since January 2005, and
4. Have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher, and
5. Be able to demonstrate financial need.
Filing period: October 1- October 31, 2006
InterNational Partner's Program
The InterNational Partners Program is a collaborative effort of the SDSU International Student Center and an assortment of community service organizations engaged in the promotion of international understanding and goodwill. The program is designed to provide the organizations with diverse perspectives and resources contributed by international students, and provide the students with an internship experience in community services with an international focus. Eligibility requirements:
- Be a full time international undergraduate student for both the Fall 2006 and Spring 2007 and
- Hold a valid non-immigrant visa (F-1).
Filing period: March 1- 31, 2007
Employment
On Campus
F-1 students are permitted to work up to 20 hours per week on campus while school is in session, and up to 40 hours per week during vacation periods under the Regulations for On Campus Employment (PDF 17k).
Off Campus
F-1 students are allowed to work off-campus only under special conditions. If after one academic year of study, there is a proven severe unforeseen economic need, then a work authorization, called F-1 Economic Necessity, can be obtained.
Practical Training
F-1 students may engage in Practical Training or work experience related to the field of study either during or after your studies at SDSU. You must have been in status one full academic year prior to being eligible for Practical Training. There are two types of practical training: curricular and optional. Curricular practical training can only be used when an internship is an integral part of the curriculum during a course of study. Optional practical training can be used during or after a course of study, and is for a total of 12 months.
