• Complete academic approval form
• Research health insurance options
• Check on health issues in host country and get necessary immunizations (http://www.cdc.gov/travel/)
• Get a Passport and any necessary Visas
• Download the study abroad student handbook
• Contact alumni
• Research the country where you will be studying
• Investigate scholarships
• Attend pre-departure orientation
• Complete the Study Abroad Agreement Packet
• Review State Department Travel Warnings and A Safe Trip Abroad brochure
