Graduate Students
Most SDSU exchange programs are open to graduate students. However, you will need to get pre-approval for any coursework you wish to take abroad by completing the Graduate Academic Approval Form.
Please visit the Academics page in the Accepted Students section of this website for further information on credit transfer.
For further information, please consult the Graduate Bulletin under Regulations of the Graduate Division regarding transfer, extension, and foreign university credit:
For most masters degree programs, the maximum transferable course credit is 9 units including courses taken through San Diego State University College of Extended Studies. All transfer credit earned in other colleges and universities including foreign universities and those earned through the San Diego State University College of Extended Studies must be approved by the graduate adviser and graduate dean. Credit earned by correspondence, by examination, or by extension at other institutions is not acceptable as satisfying advanced degree requirements.
