Profile: The University of Córdoba, Argentina is the oldest university in all of Argentina. In 1613, the first program, Estudios Superiores, began in the Colegio Máximo in Córdoba. In April, 1622, the University of Córdoba was declared open. The city of Córdoba consists of valleys, lakes, rivers, canyons, and forests. Córdoba’s capital, also called Córdoba, is the second most important city in Argentina and is known for being a tourist attraction. Various programs are offered at the University of Córdoba including: Architecture, Urbanism, and Design, Mathematics, Physical, and Natural Sciences, Law and Social Sciences, Economics, Psychology, and Languages.
Locale: Córdoba is located near the mountains and is close to the Andes and the Pampas. The city is well-known for its variety of bars, restaurants, and shopping areas. Córdoba allows visitors to experience Argentine life similar to that of natives from Argentina, since the majority of its tourism consists of those throughout different parts of the country. The city of Córdoba is very safe and modern. Due to its location, many sites of interest are accessible due its close proximity to various attractions.
Divisions:
There are several colleges within the University of Córdoba that offer courses through a variety of disciplines. These include: the College of Architecture, Urbanism, and Design, the College of Physical, and Natural Sciences, the College of Chemical Sciences, the College of Mathematics, Astronomy, and Physics, the College of Agriculture and Fisheries, the College of Law and Social Sciences, the College of Dentistry, the College of Economics, the College of Medical Science, the College of Philosophy and Humanities, the College of Psychology, the College of Languages, and the College of Advanced Studies.
