For our study abroad students, we have developed a comprehensive semester program, which combines a quality Australian academic experience with an extensive social and cultural program.
Locale: Macquarie's innovative courses, cutting-edge research programs and state-of-the art facilities are located on a spacious parkland campus just 35 minutes from the heart of Australia's largest, most cosmopolitan city. Macquarie University is rich in social, sporting and cultural amenities. Study abroad students are eligible to study in all departments, as long as the relevant pre-requisites are met.
Accommodations: Students are housed in fully furnished, self-catered apartments near campus. Rooms are available on a single or shared basis.

Profile: Curtin University of Technology, one of Australia's largest and most respected institutions, is named after Australia's wartime prime minister, John Curtin. It is the 20th university established in Australia and offers degrees in a wide range of disciplines to students from many nations. Total enrollment: 26,000 students.

Profile: Established in 1967, the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities. Degrees offered include masters and bachelors degrees as well as graduate diploma/certificate, associate diploma and certificate programs. On-campus facilities include computer labs, a library, banks, a travel agent, a coffee shop, a restaurant, a pub, a bookstore, a post office, a cafeteria, a stationary store, a hairdresser, a sports hall, five sports grounds and tennis courts. Profile: The University of Canberra (UC) was founded in 1967 as the Canberra College of Advanced Education and established as a university in 1990. UC is a modern, well-designed and vibrant campus. It is located near the center of Canberra city and minutes away from the major commercial and business center of Belconnen.
Lectures are held in purpose-designed, modern lecture theatres fully equipped with multi-media facilities. Tutorial (small groups) meet in comfortable but highly resourceful classrooms and students receive personal tuition and assistance. The current enrollment is 9,010 students. Courses are administered by 17 schools, which are organized within three Divisions. Student welfare is a priority at UC. Facilities and resources are in place to monitor student academic and personal welfare.
Locale: The University of Canberra occupies a site of 119 hectares in the suburb of Bruce, adjacent to the Belconnen Town Center and about eight kilometers from the central business district of Canberra. Public transport and an extensive system of walking and cycle ways connect UC to the center of town and all major attractions. The Bruce precinct includes a technology park, the Australian Institute of Sport, the Canberra Sports Stadium and a campus of the Canberra Institute of Technology, a major hospital and several government departments.

Students may select to study core subjects related to their degree or elective subjects. International students participating in study abroad program who wish to have their UC studies credit at their home university will need to have their UC subjects pre-approved by their home universities.
Accommodations: UC offers students the opportunity to live on campus in student residence. Students live in a single room in buildings located in a pleasant safe environment. The UC Residential Services Office also coordinates off campus accommodation where students can live in a shared house or with a host family.

Course Information
Profile: Established in 1887, RMIT is a dynamic university of technology with several campuses based around Melbourne. Expert teachers, excellent facilities and the latest technology equipment help students gain the most from the huge range of academic programs. Many RMIT academics are leaders in their industry, allowing students to gain insight into the latest developments in their chosen field.
RMIT is a highly internationalized university with over 8,000 international students from more than 100 countries. Overseas students are actively supported with a large range of support services, student organizations and activities. Total enrollment: 56,000 students.
Locale: The main RMIT campus is located in the Melbourne CBD. It is an urban campus surrounded by cafes, student restaurants and recreation facilities. Melbourne is a diverse, multicultural city with a great variety of entertainment, ranging from cultural events (Comedy, Film and Fashion festivals), sporting events (Formula 1, Australian Open Tennis) to fantastic live music and thumping all-night dance venues. RMIT also has campuses in Brunswick, Bundoora, Fisherman's Bend, and Hamilton.
Melbourne also offers a fantastic base to explore the surrounding State of Victoria. Sailing, kite surfing and windsurfing are popular on the nearby Port Phillip Bay. The breathtaking wilderness of The Grampians, Wilson's Promontory and Otway National Park offer amazing camping, hiking and a chance to meet some native Aussie animals in their natural habitat. Many students enjoy learning to surf near the home of Quiksilver and Rip Curl on the Great Ocean Road, swimming with the dolphins on the Mornington Peninsula. or hitting the slopes in the Victorian Alps (strictly during winter!). A number of RMIT student clubs run affordable and fun trips to these destinations during the semester.

Creative classes (design, architecture, photography, multimedia) require students to submit a portfolio for course approval. A number of study tours (for academic credit) are also available during semester breaks.
RMIT recommends that study abroad students take the Social Science course, HUSO2105: Introduction to Australian Society. This course provides an overview of current and historical issues related to Australia and a chance for students to visit the Hamilton campus in Regional Victoria.
Accommodations: Students live within easy walking distance to the city campus in single occupancy, fully furnished student apartment complexes.
