Payment Options

The payment to enroll in classes starts with the registration fee. All SDSU must students pay the registration fee before they can enroll in classes. You are required to complete the foreign tuition payment no later than the Friday before classes begin.

  • Note: If you paid the Intent to Enroll, that $400 deposit was credited to your registration. (Please pay only the remaining costs.)

Once your registration payment has cleared, you can register for classes starting on the day and time assigned to you in Webportal. After you have registered for the number of classes you want, you pay foreign tuition for the number of units you registered for.

When to pay

If from the registration payment date you know the number of units you will register for, then you may pay foreign tuition at the same time you pay the registration fee.

Deadlines for paying all your fees are found in your Webportal account. The deadline for paying the registration fee is 2 weeks prior to your personal registration time because it can take up to 2 weeks to clear foreign forms of payment.

How to pay

You have the following options for making your payment:

Online with a credit card or U.S. check

The most convenient form of payment is online with a credit card or a U.S. check. From Webportal, access Online Student Account Services. Credit card payments have an additional processing fee (2.65% of total payment),and the only accepted cards are American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.

  • eCheck payments use the account information in the U.S. check to make an electronic payment online. This form of payment has no service fees.
